Absence (illness, care days, a child’s 1st and 2nd sick day, senior days, etc.) must be reported to your manager and registered in mitHR. Alternatively, contact your absence administrator (see below).
In Denmark, we have concurrent holiday accrual, meaning that you accrue and take holiday on an ongoing basis.
You accrue 2.08 days of holiday per month, i.e. 25 days in total during the period 1 September–31 August. The days can be taken during the period 1 September–31 December of the following year (16 months).
In addition, you accrue 5 special holiday days in the calendar year, which can be taken during the period 1 May–30 April.
Read more about holiday on AU´s staff service.
As a rule, all employees at Biology are registered with standard holiday. You can then reschedule your holiday and special holiday days yourself in mitHR.

At mitHR.au.dk you can log in and see how much holiday you have registered to be taken, have accrued and can take each month during the holiday year
Changes to holiday registrations must be communicated to your absence administrator and immediate manager no later than the end of the month in which the holiday is registered. Otherwise, the holiday is considered taken.
