Holiday and absence registration

Absence

Absences (illness, child care days, child's 1st and 2nd sickness day, senior days etc.) must be reported to your manager, as well as your absence administrator (see below).

Holiday

On 1 September 2020, all employees at AU were transferred to the concurrent holiday scheme which means that holidays are accrued and can be taken on an ongoing basis.

You accrue 2.08 days of ordinary holiday per month, i.e. 25 days of holiday in the period from 1 September to 31 August. You can take your holiday in the period from 1 September to 31 December in the following year (16 months).

In addition, you accrue five special holidays, which can be taken in the period from 1 May to 30 April.

Read more about holiday on AU´s staff service.

Holiday registration  - Department of Biology

As a general rule, all employees at Biology will be registered with the standard holiday unless a holiday form is filled out with other holiday wishes at the beginning of holiday year.

At mitHR.au.dk you can log in and see how much holiday you have registered to be taken, have accrued and can take each month during the holiday year

Changes in holiday registration must be reported to your absence administrator and immediate leader no later than the end of the month in which the holiday is registered. Otherwise, the holiday is considered to have been held.
