Thor Hjarsen: Saksfjed Wilderness – invitation to more research in rewilding in Denmark!

It is a pleasure to invite you to a seminar with Thor Hjarsen from Hempel Foundation.

Abstract: The Hempel Foundation took over the ownership and management of an 800 ha large former agricultural area in 2023 and has since initiated an ambitious rewilding programme of what has been named Saksfjed Wilderness (DK: Saksfjed Vildmark). Thor Hjarsen, biologist and head of the Hempel Foundation’s biodiversity portfolio in Denmark will present the area, the objectives, the methods and the possibilities for research, field studies and students projects in our rewilding programme.
