Invitation to Aarhus University’s annual celebration on 10 September 2021

Dear AU employees

All employees are hereby invited to attend Aarhus University’s annual celebration, which will take place at the Main Hall at 13:30 and Concert Hall Aarhus at 20:00 on Friday 10 September 2021. Find the invitation including the programme here

The deadline for registration is 24 August.

All employees are invited to register for the drawing of lots to attend the ceremony at the Main Hall at Aarhus University in the afternoon as well as the evening festivities at Concert Hall Aarhus, which is followed by refreshments in the foyer. Each employee is welcome to bring one guest. Many employees are interested in attending the annual celebration, and unfortunately, we expect that there are not enough seats for all employees. To ensure that the available seats are distributed fairly, lots will be drawn by the event organising service KongresKompagniet to allocate seats at the Main Hall and at Concert Hall Aarhus.

The concert at Concert Hall Aarhus will take place in Store Sal. The seats in Store Sal will be allocated in proportion to the number of employees at the five faculties and in the administration, so that everyone has an equal chance of getting a seat. The same procedure will be used for allocating seats in the Main Hall if a draw becomes necessary.

Notification of the draw

In early September, you will be notified by email whether you have been allocated a ticket to the afternoon ceremony and/or the evening event after the drawing of lots. If your name is not drawn and you will not receive (a) ticket(s), you will be notified about the waiting list. If your name is drawn, and you are allocated tickets to the Main Hall and/or Store Sal, your tickets will be sent by email.

Separate invitations have been sent by email on 9 August to the members of the senior management team, the faculty management teams and the administrative management team with a link to a registration page. If you have received an invitation by email on 9 August, it is important that you use the registration link included in this particular invitation.
